WORKSHOP VENUE
The GEOBENCH workshop will be held at the NOT Building - Room 104.
Address: Naczelna Organizacja Techniczna, Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego 74, 50-020 Wroclaw, Poland.
The best option to reach the NOT building is to use the “Dworzec Główny” stop (A). From there, many trams and buses go to different parts of the city. Another option is the “Arkady Capitol” stop (B). Please note that, depending on the line, these stops are located in different parts of the same intersection but share the same name.
In Wroclaw, about twenty tram lines and over fifty bus lines operate daily. To check public transport schedules and routes, you can use JakDojade application (more frequently updated wrt Google Maps).
Tickets for public transport are available at larger stops in ticket machines, where you can pay by cash or card. Printed tickets must be validated inside vehicles. However, the most convenient option is to buy tickets directly inside the vehicles. These can be purchased only with a payment card or phone. In this case, no paper ticket is printed.
Eligible persons (students, PhD students) may purchase a discounted ticket (50%).
There are two types of tickets: single-trip (one journey on a single means of transport) and time (valid from the moment of its validation for a specific period: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, or 168 hours) tickets.

WROCLAW
Wroclaw (Polish pronunciation: [:vrɔt͡swaf] or [vrot-swaf]) is the third largest city in Poland. It is located at Odra River, the 2nd largest river in Poland, though other 4 rivers also flow through this city. For that reason, it is named also the city of 100 bridges. In 2016 Wroclaw became a European Capital of Culture, but it has much more to offer. It is one of the main academic and economic centers in Poland and has a rich history spanning over 1000 years – you can find several hundred-year-old architectural monuments here, accompanied by dwarfs made from bronze in modern times, which have become a kind of touristic symbol of this city. Wroclaw is a meeting place that welcomes all visitors. You can get to Wroclaw in many ways, by car, train or plane. The city is connected with the rest of Poland and Europe through an extended network of motorways. Wroclaw has direct air connections with many cities in Europe and direct train connections with several others.
