LOCATION and VENUE

The GEOBENCH workshop will be held at the NOT Building, Wroclaw, Poland.

Wroclaw (Polish pronunciation: [:vrɔt͡swaf] or [vrot-swaf]) is the third largest city in Poland. It is located at Odra River, the 2nd largest river in Poland, though other 4 rivers also flow through this city. For that reason, it is named also the city of 100 bridges. In 2016 Wroclaw became a European Capital of Culture, but it has much more to offer. It is one of the main academic and economic centers in Poland and has a rich history spanning over 1000 years – you can find several hundred-year-old architectural monuments here, accompanied by dwarfs made from bronze in modern times, which have become a kind of touristic symbol of this city. Wroclaw is a meeting place that welcomes all visitors. You can get to Wroclaw in many ways, by car, train or plane. The city is connected with the rest of Poland and Europe through an extended network of motorways. Wroclaw has direct air connections with many cities in Europe and direct train connections with several others.
